Exhibition «Prodexpo - 2017»

The traditional exhibition Prodexpo was held in Moscow's Expocentre Fairgrounds from 6 to 10 February 2017. The importance of this event for the state and the business community can be understood from the fact that representatives of the relevant committees of the State Duma and the Federation Council, federal and regional ministries and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part in its work.

2188 companies from 58 countries demonstrated their products in the fair pavilions of Expocentre. More than 60,000 visitors could get acquainted with the novelties of the food industry and tasted samples of the new products. 29 national expositions gave a special character to the exhibition.

Manufacturers of food products, equipment and packaging materials for the food industry have placed their pavilions in the area of 100,000 square meters. In Prodexpo-2017 the number of participating domestic companies increased by 11% in comparison with the previous exhibition. The companies of Bolivia and Ecuador were the debutants of the exhibition.

Prodexpo - 2017 - a platform for dialogue

Conferences on topical issues of domestic food producers’ work were held within the framework of the exhibition. They addressed such important issues as:

• Providing consumers with quality food;
• Expanding international, interregional partnerships and increasing the export potential of domestic producers;
• Interaction between food suppliers and retailers;
• Prospects for the development of organic products market in Russia;
• Problems of organization of catering for preschool children;

The dialogue of producers, representatives of retail and state authorities will positively affect the state of the domestic food market and ensure the food security of our country.

Prodexpo-2017 - awards, opinions and feedback

The contests like "Best Product - 2017", "Choice of Networks", "Innovative Product", as well as tasting contests for selected product categories were held during the exhibition. Winners received worthy awards.

Almost all participants and visitors to the exhibition note the significant progress in the development of the food industry. Good results have been achieved in the policy of import substitution. The assortment of the produced goods is considerably expanded. The work of the exhibition organizers deserved a special positive assessment.

Prodexpo - 2017 not only demonstrated a positive dynamics in the development of the food industry in Russia, but also became a platform for concluding new contracts, sharing experiences and finding new business ideas.
